PES 2015 to Revive Old Gameplay from PS2

Despite PES 2015 being the first version of PES on the new generation of consoles Konami are promising to simplify the gameplay. For the majority of PES fans the glory days of PES 5 and the other popular PS2 versions were the pinnacle. This gameplay mixed with next generation graphics has the potential to be an amazing combination.

Last year Konami introduced a new graphics engine which PES 2014 was used as the guinea pig for. This proved very unpopular as it was very different to the earlier more successful versions of PES, namely the game had become uninspiring, repetitive and there were set game animations that had to play out before you could control the game again. This statement was echoed by Adam Bhatti who said players had to make decisions two seconds in advance due to said animations which he felt proved to be the biggest downfall of PES 2014.

Konami are rumoured to be using the gameplay from PES 2013 as a feel for the gameplay this year. A lot of fans will argue over the quality of PES 2013 but one thing that won’t be argued is using PES 2013 as a base, along with the revered PS2 versions and next generation graphics is an extremely exciting prospect.
